COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, announced that steps are being taken to swiftly amend the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment Act.
He made the statement while participating in the 40th anniversary celebration of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) in Colombo.
He further emphasized that this legal reform is essential before the government can effectively regulate the systems pertaining to foreign employment institutions and employees abroad.
Significantly, Minister Herath stated that the Ministry of Digital Economy will be involved in the process of amending the Act.
