Pokemon GO is Launching a Special Pokemon TCG Collaboration

Pokemon GO is launching a special event to celebrate the release of a brand-new Pokemon TCG product, including new Timed Research and some special Mega Raids.

The massively popular monster-catching mobile game has brought plenty to the game to excite fans during Tales of Transformation, introducing new Mega Evolutions, new Pokemon, and alternate forms.

Mega Metagross made its Pokemon GO debut during the season, while other events have introduced Pokemon like the Poltchageist line and costumed versions of Teddiursa and Noibat. A brand-new event is now celebrating a big release for another branch of the franchise.

The Pokemon TCG has similarly been abuzz throughout recent months with some big new releases for the popular card game.

The launch of "Mega Evolution" officially brought the Pokemon TCG into its newest era, adding Mega Pokemon to the game as an in-game mechanic for the first time since XY: Evolutions. November is set to bring another exciting expansion for the card game, with "Phantasmal Flames" set to introduce Mega Charizard to the game as its spotlight Pokemon. Now, Pokemon GO and the Pokemon TCG are teaming up for a new event.
