National Dengue Control Unit Warns of Rise in Dengue

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Dengue Control Unit has issued a warning of a potential rise in dengue cases due to ongoing rainy weather conditions.

Community Medical Specialist Dr. Prashila Samaraweera stated that Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Jaffna, and Batticaloa have been newly classified as high-risk zones.

She urged the public to take proactive measures by eliminating mosquito breeding sites to help prevent the further spread of dengue.
