Grenade Found in House Belonging to Arrested Underworld Figure

COLOMBO (News 1st); A foreign-manufactured live grenade belonging to 'Jambugasmulla Babi' was recovered from a house in Nugegoda owned by the suspect.

Police stated that further investigations are being conducted under a 90-day detention order.

Jambugasmulla Babi was recently arrested in Nepal alongside Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect in the Ganemulla Sanjeewa murder case, and was subsequently extradited to Sri Lanka.

He is currently being held at the South Western Criminal Investigation Division for further questioning.
