COLOMBO (News 1st); It was revealed in Parliament today that Sajith Premadasa, during his tenure as subject minister in 2016 and 2019, had allegedly authorized the spending of over Rs. 8000 million from the Central Cultural Fund without proper approval.
Deputy Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Gamagedara Dissanayake, stated that this information emerged from an investigation conducted by a committee, whose report is now nearing its final stage.
The Deputy Minister made these revelations while responding to a query raised by Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Ajith Perera regarding the matter.
