COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan police have uncovered five modern revolvers and a T56 assault rifle from a lorry intercepted in Tangalle, which was also found to be transporting over 200 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”) and heroin.

In a related operation, police recovered an additional 200 kilograms of suspected crystal methamphetamine from a house in Seenimodara, Tangalle—where two bodies were discovered earlier in the day.

A third individual who had been present at the residence was hospitalized but later passed away. Initial searches of the property had already revealed 10 kilograms of suspected narcotics.
