Thushitha Halloluwa Granted Bail, Passport Seized

COLOMBO (News 1st); Thushitha Halloluwa, a former director of the National Lottery Board, has been released on bail following his arrest in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Narahenpita earlier this year.

The Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva ordered Halloluwa’s release today on two personal bails of Rs. 500,000 each. 

The court also imposed a travel ban, instructing the suspect to surrender his passport to the court.

Halloluwa was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division on August 19 during a raid in the Kollupitiya area. 

The arrest was linked to a shooting incident that took place on May 17, when shots were reportedly fired at a vehicle he was traveling in.
