Man Fights Off Gunmen, Escapes Bullet Injuries

COLOMBO (News 1st); A shooting incident has been reported in the Watugedara area of Ambalangoda.

Two individuals on a motorcycle are said to have approached the victim and opened fire. 

During the confrontation, the victim reportedly engaged in a physical struggle with the gunmen.

Despite shots being fired during the scuffle, no gunshot injuries were sustained. 

However, the victim was injured during the altercation and has been admitted to hospital.

The injured individual is a 44-year-old resident of the Balapitiya area.
