24/7 Hotline Activated for Sri Lankans in Nepal

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a safety advisory urging all Sri Lankans residing in Nepal to remain indoors and take precautionary measures amid concerns of possible attacks.

The Embassy has activated a 24-hour emergency contact line for Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal: +977-9851048653.

Citizens have been advised to:

Keep a supply of water and dry food readily available.

Ensure access to essential medications at all times.

The Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with community leaders to ensure the safety of Sri Lankan nationals.
