Dilanka Isuru Kumara and Nipun Shehara Shine with Bronze Medals at Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lankan weightlifter Dilanka Isuru Kumara has claimed the bronze medal in the men’s 60kg weight category at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship held in India.
The championship featured competitions across junior, youth, and senior categories.
Dilanka competed in the men’s 60kg senior event, where he successfully lifted 111kg in the snatch and 138kg in the clean and jerk.
With a total combined lift of 249kg, Dilanka secured the bronze medal in his category.
Another fellow Sri Lankan weightlifter, Nipun Shehara participated in the boys’ 60kg youth category at the same event.
Nipun lifted 95kg in the snatch and 115kg in the clean and jerk, totaling 210kg.
His outstanding performance earned him the bronze medal in the youth division.
