Court to Consider Zoom Appearance as Ex-President Wickremesinghe Remains in ICU

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Prisons announced that according to the Board of Specialists at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe who is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit, will not be able to appear in court today. 

The Department of Prisons confirmed that it has already received the relevant medical report from the Hospital. 

Prisons spokesperson, Commissioner Jagath Weerasinghe, stated that if court approval is granted, arrangements will be made for the former President to attend the proceedings via Zoom this afternoon.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe remains under treatment in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
