Discussions Between Postal Trade Unions and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa Underway

COLOMBO (News 1st): A discussion is currently underway between striking postal trade unions and the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
The discussion was convened following a request made by the trade unions to the Postmaster General.
The postal workers’ strike, which is based on 19 demands, has reached a week today.
Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara said the strike has already caused losses of approximately Rs. 20 million.
