Colombo (News 1st): Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Namal Karunaratne says that steps are being taken to create an environment where businessmen and investors can operate without facing bribery, corruption, or fraud.

The Deputy Minister said that many projects abandoned in the past are now being revived.

He noted that although large sums were spent on vehicles, computers, and housing, these efforts failed due to corruption and the culture of commissions.

He stressed the need to change this system and emphasized that the government is committed to creating a more efficient and transparent environment where services can be delivered swiftly and without bribes.
