Two Found Dead in Matara and Anuradhapura Districts

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have launched investigations following the discovery of two suspicious deaths reported from Parasangaswewa and Matara.

An unidentified female body was found floating in the sea near the bridge leading to Pigeon Island in Matara. 

Police say the woman is believed to be aged between 40 and 45 years old, while her identity has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, in Pandukabhaya, Parasangaswewa, the body of a 46-year-old man was found near a canal.

Police said the man had fallen near the canal close to his residence and died.
