New Face in Parliament: Abdul Wazeeth Sworn In as SLMC MP

COLOMBO (News 1st): M.S. Abdul Wazeeth of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress was sworn in as a Member of Parliament before Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne, today.

He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of M.S. Naleem, who previously held the party’s National List seat.

M.S. Naleem stepped down from Parliament to contest in the recent Local Government elections.

Abdul Wazeeth is a former Chairman of the Pottuvil Pradeshiya Sabha.
