Dehiwala Shooting: Gunman and Accomplice Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an attempted shooting at a shop in Nedimala, Dehiwala, that took place on May 19.

One of the suspects is believed to be the gunman, while the other is accused of aiding and abetting the crime.

According to police, the alleged shooter was found in possession of 10.16 grams of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as "ice"), while the second suspect was arrested with 10.35 grams of the same substance.

The suspects, aged 38 and 43, are residents of Dehiwala and Mihintale, respectively.

Their arrests were made following intelligence received by officers from the of the Western Province - South Crimes Division.
