LG Election Campaign Finance Reports Due by Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st); The deadline for submitting campaign income and expenditure reports related to the local government elections will expire tomorrow, according to the Election Commission of Sri Lanka.

The Commission has formally notified all political party secretaries, candidates, and independent groups of the requirement to submit their financial disclosures. These reports must be handed over to the respective District Returning Officers.

In accordance with the Election Campaign Finance Regulation Act No. 03 of 2023, candidates are required to submit separate reports detailing both campaign income and expenses.
