Ranjith Aluvihare, Champika Wijeratne Quit SJB Posts

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former MP Ranjith Aluvihare and former Provincial Minister Champika Wijeratne have resigned from their positions as Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Electoral Organizers.

Speaking to News1st, Ranjith Aluvihare confirmed that he has stepped down as the SJB Rattota Electoral Organizer and also relinquished his role as the party’s Deputy National Organizer.

Champika Wijeratne, an Attorney-at-Law and former Provincial Minister, announced his resignation as the Dambulla Electoral Organizer.

He cited dissatisfaction with the party leadership’s unilateral approach to political decision-making in the Dambulla electorate.

Wijeratne added that he will officially submit his resignation letter to SJB General Secretary and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today.
