Train Services Back on Track After Temporary Disruptions

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Railways said that train services will resume normal operations this evening.

The disruptions experienced this morning and yesterday were due to train drivers and controllers taking leave.

Deputy General Manager of Railways, N.J. Indapola, confirmed that the employees have now reported back to work.

As a result of the leave taken by drivers and controllers, approximately seven train journeys on the Kelani Valley, Coastal, and Main lines were canceled today.
