Siri Dalada Vandana: Police Request Public to Delay Visits to Kandy

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police requests the public to avoid visiting Kandy for the Sri Dalada Vandanawa tomorrow (24) and the day after (25), due to the large number of devotees already present.

A statement issued by the police noted that over 300,000 devotees have already arrived in Kandy for the Sacred Veneration of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.

Sri Lanka Police say that a sufficient number of devotees are already in Kandy for the Sri Dalada Vandanawa.

The police have advised the public to consider visiting on other days for the Sacred Veneration of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, ensuring a more comfortable experience without overcrowding
