Two Killed in Train Accidents

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A railway worker has died after being struck by a train during a track inspection between Parakumpura and Ambewela. 

The accident occurred when a train travelling from Colombo to Badulla hit the 25-year-old, who was a resident of Diyatalawa.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 68-year-old man died after falling from a train in Sirinavakkulam, Mannar. 

The accident occurred as he was assisting a group of relatives boarding a train scheduled to travel from Talaimannar to Colombo. 

He reportedly fell while attempting to get down after helping them board.
