Xi Calls For 'Asian family' Unity

COLOMBO (News 1st); Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of China-Malaysia cooperation in the face of global challenges during his visit to Malaysia on Wednesday (16).

He underscored the commitment of both nations to stand with regional countries against geopolitical confrontations, unilateralism, and protectionism, aiming to safeguard the bright prospects of the Asian family.

President Xi highlighted the historical trajectory and future potential of the China-Malaysia friendship, expressing China's eagerness to work with Malaysia to build a high-level strategic China-Malaysia Community with a shared future. 

Celebrating 50 golden years of bilateral relations, he emphasized the joint efforts to energize modernization in both countries, setting a fine example of unity and cooperation for the global south.
