Sri Lanka Probes Fraudulent Vehicle Registrations

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) has uncovered information regarding the fraudulent registration of imported vehicles in Sri Lanka. 

Deputy Minister of Transport, Prasanna Gunasena, announced that a committee will be appointed to investigate this issue.

The Deputy Minister stated that this action is being taken based on recommendations from COPA. 

The committee's findings will be presented to Parliament, and legal action will be taken against the officials involved in the fraudulent activities.
