Four More Suspects Arrested in Matara Double Homicide

COLOMBO (News 1st): Four additional suspects have been arrested in connection with the double homicide of two young men in Matara, Dewinuwara. 

The arrests were made while the suspects were hiding in the Wennappuwa area, according to Senior Superintendent Of Police Buddhika Manathunga, the Police Spokesperson.

The suspects were apprehended for aiding and abetting the murders. 

Previously, five suspects had already been taken into custody in relation to this case.

The incident occurred on the night of the 21st, when a group of individuals in a van shot and killed two young men who were traveling on a motorcycle. 

The victims, aged 28 and 29, succumbed to their injuries from the gunshot wounds.
