Complaints of Illegal Campaign Activities Surge

COLOMBO (News 1st): Within the past 24 hours, six complaints regarding election law violations have been filed, according to police reports.

One complaint was lodged concerning the display of posters featuring candidates' images in the Aluwihare area along the Matale-Dambulla road. Another complaint from the Matale-Rattota area involved the display of flags promoting political parties.

Additionally, a complaint was received from the same region regarding the display of banners with candidates' images. In Medawachchiya, a complaint was filed about the distribution of dry rations.

In Polonnaruwa, a complaint was made against a candidate for installing street lamps. Another complaint regarding the display of banners with candidates' images was filed from Monaragala.
