Train Derailment in Nanu Oya Causes Potential Delays Along Upcountry Railway Line

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A train has derailed in Nanu Oya, and the railway Operation Center, has warned that train services on the Upcountry line may face delays as a result.

In addition, the Department of Railways has announced that the Kadugannawa railway crossing will be completely closed from 10 am today to 6 am tomorrow for emergency maintenance work.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to minimize inconvenience and avoid traffic congestion along the Kadugannawa-Poththapitiya route during this period.
