Inmate Dies at Negombo Prison After Being Remanded for Maintenance Case

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police say that an inmate of the Negombo Prison has died.
He had been arrested and remanded in connection with a warrant issued for a maintenance case.
The Police also say that he had been hospitalized for treatment due to illness after being imprisoned.
The deceased was a 42-year-old resident of Thoppuwa, Kochchikade.
