Suspect arrested in Midigama with T-56 ammunition

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A suspect has been arrested in Midigama, Matara with 48 rounds of T-56 ammunition.

The arrest was made during a raid by officers of the Matara Division Crime Investigation Bureau.

According to police, the suspect was taken into custody based on information provided by another individual under interrogation.

Authorities also found an additional round of ammunition used for 84 S weapons in his possession.

The 33-year-old suspect, a resident of Midigama, remains in police custody.
