Sluice Gates Of 37 Resevoirs Opened Amid Heavy Rains

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Irrigation says that sluice gates of 37 of the country's 73 main reservoirs have been opened, due to prevailing rainfall conditions.
The Department adds that among these are the Kantale,Lunugamvehera ,Rajanganaya, Weheragala and Kondawattuwana reservoirs.
The Department of Irrigation also says that many large scale reservoirs have reached overflow level as well.
