Indian External Affairs Minister Meets Min. Vijitha Herath

COLOMBO (News 1st); Indian Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar met with Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath, on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference.

Posting on X, the Indian Minister of External Affairs said that they assessed the wide-ranging cooperation between the two countries, during the bilateral talks.

He went on to affirm India's commitment to the economic recovery and progress of Sri Lanka.

The 8th Indian Ocean Conference, which got underway in Oman yesterday, is set to conclude today. 

Representatives of international organizations and Ministers and officials of 60 countries in the Indian Ocean, took part in this conference.
