Three Arrested in Ella Odyssey E-Ticket Scam

COLOMBO (News 1st); In connection with an e-ticket scam involving the Ella Odyssey train, a technical officer from the Railway Department and two other individuals have been arrested.

Police Spokesperson, SSP Buddhika Manathunga, stated that the technical officer was apprehended in the Trincomalee area with 92 e-tickets in his possession. 

Further questioning revealed that these tickets were intended to be sold at inflated prices to both foreign and local tourists.

Additionally, two other suspects were arrested in the Matale and Kandy areas in relation to the same scam.
