Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa Appears Before CID

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) a short while ago. This appearance was in response to a summons issued by the CID.

According to SSP Buddhika Manathunga, the Police Spokesperson, Gotabaya Rajapaksa was summoned to provide a statement regarding a land issue in the Kataragama area.

Previously, the CID also recorded a statement from Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, in connection with the same matter.
