COLOMBO (News 1st): Eleven Senior Superintendents of Police have been given transfers.
According to the Police Media Division, SSP W. V. Ginige has been transferred to take charge of the Matara Division.
SSP K. D. G. L. A. Dharmasena has been appointed in charge of the Negombo Division, while SSP B. D. T. A. Weerasinghe has been appointed the head the Information Technology Division.
The Police Media Division also stated that SSP R. G. A. B. Gunatilake has been transferred to take charge of the Kelaniya Division.
Meanwhile SSP L. R. Gamage has been appointed as the Director of the National Authority for the Protection of Victims of Crime and Witnesses.
SSP D. S. I. A. Amarasinghe has been transferred to the Parliament Police Division, and SSP M. S. K. Wickramanayake has been appointed as the officer in charge of the Matale Division.
SSP K. M. I. Perera has been appointed as the Director of the Inspector General's Command & Information Division, while SSP H. G. D. S. Amarasinghe has been transferred to the Ampara Division.
SSP W. A. Somaratna has been transferred to take charge of the Vavuniya Division.
The Police Headquarters also confirmed that SSP T. H. E. L. Perera has been transferred to head the Gampola Division.
