Temporary Halt on Land Allocations By LRC

COLOMBO (News 1st); Dr. Susil Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Lands and Irrigation, announced that the Land Reforms Commission is currently investigating the allocation of land to political allies.
He stated that, as a result, the allocation of land by the Land Reforms Commission has been temporarily suspended.
The deputy minister also mentioned that investigations have been conducted into the land allocation procedures of the Land Reforms Commission from 2015 to the present.
