New Commanders of Sri Lanka Army and Navy Appointed

COLOMBO (News 1st): The New Commanders of the SL Army and SL Navy have been appointed.

According to the Ministry of Defence the new appointments were made by President AKD.

Accordingly, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo has been appointed as the 25th Commander of the Sri Lankan Army. 

The appointment follows the retirement of current Commander of the SL Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage tomorrow.

Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda has been appointed as the 26th Commander of the SL Navy. 

Accordingly, Current Commander of the SL Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera is set to retire tomorrow.
