President Highlights Challenge of Reforming Public Service

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the pressing challenge of transforming the public service into an efficient and formal government mechanism lies ahead. 

Speaking at the District Secretaries' Conference held today at the State Ministry of Home Affairs in Narahenpita, the President underscored the importance of institutional reforms. 

He emphasized that the newly appointed committee tasked with re-evaluating government institutions will make decisions based solely on merit, unaffected by political considerations.
