No Rice Shortage During Festive Season, An Assurance from Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Namal Karunaratne, has announced that the stock of imported rice is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka before the 20th of December.
He assured that there will be no rice shortage during the upcoming festive season.
The deputy minister also said that the harvesting of crops for the Maha season is due to be completed by the end of January.
