New Cabinet Sworn in Before President AKD

COLOMBO (News 1st); The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet began at the President's Office and was presided over by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

Accordingly, the 21 new ministers were sworn in today.

The Appointments include:

Dr. Harini Amarasuriya sworn in as Prime Minister.

And then, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya sworn in as Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.

Vijitha Herath sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism

Prof. Chandana Abeyratne sworn in as Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government

Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara sworn in as Minister of Justice and National Integration

Saroja Savithri Paulraj sworn in as Minister of Women and Child Affairs

K.D. Lalkantha sworn in as Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation

Anura Karunathilake sworn in as Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing

Ramalingam Chandrasekar sworn in as Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Ocean Resources

Prof. Upali Pannillage sworn in as Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment

Sunil Handunneththi sworn in as Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development

Ananda Wijepala sworn in as Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs

Bimal Rathnayake sworn in as Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation.
