Station Masters Launch Strike Over Promotions and Recruitment Issues

Station masters have launched a strike, calling for immediate solutions to long-standing issues related to promotions and recruitment. 

Sumeda Somaratne, Chairman of the Railway Station Masters' Union, said that negotiations with transport authorities ended unsuccessfully on thursday ( November 30th). 

He said that despite multiple requests to address the challenges faced by station masters, including a lack of promotional opportunities compared to other sectors, underpayment, and mismanagement of government funds, no satisfactory response has been received.Station Masters Launch Strike Over Promotions and Recruitment Issues
