COLOMBO (News 1st); Excavations at the Colombo Port area have led to the discovery of eight human skeletons, according to Senior Professor Raj Somadeva, the advisor overseeing the excavation.
Professor Somadeva reported that two of these skeletons have already been unearthed and are currently secured under police protection.
The third phase of the excavation is scheduled to commence on October 17th.
The skeletal remains were initially discovered on July 13th, and the site has since undergone two phases of excavation.
Authorities continue to investigate the findings to uncover more details about the origins and context of the remains.
