Intelligence Reports On Security Measures for Presidential Candidates

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Public Security has announced that intelligence reports will be sought to assess threats to presidential candidates, ensuring the implementation of necessary security measures following the acceptance of nominations.



Based on these intelligence reports, the Ministry will determine the level of security required for each candidate.



The police special task force will be deployed as needed to provide the appropriate security.



A special security program for presidential candidates is set to commence from Thursday, as confirmed by the Ministry of Public Security.



Additionally, the cabinet has appointed a special committee to oversee the security of both upcoming presidential candidates and former presidents.
