Estimated Tax Deadline Announced: Penalties for Late Payments Warned

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Inland Revenue Department announced that the estimated tax for the assessment year 2024/2025 is due on August 15.
Senior Deputy Commissioner Nandana Kumara said that the first installment must be settled by August 15.
He added that provisions have been made to submit payment statements electronically.
The Senior Deputy Commissioner also outlined the penalties and interest rates applicable for late tax payments.
