Deputy Speaker Urges Ranil To Re-Engage With MR

COLOMBO (News 1st); Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse has formally requested President Ranil Wickremesinghe to engage in further discussions with Mahinda Rajapaksa, seeking the support of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.

This written request was conveyed during a meeting held at the President's office.

Ajith Rajapakse emphasized that this appeal is his personal initiative.

The Deputy Speaker specifically urges that the President and the Prime Minister jointly meet with Mahinda Rajapaksa, either directly or through a special committee, for a final round of discussions.
