Ali Sabry Meets Romanian PM; Discusses Expanding Relations

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry called on Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

He said that they discussed the importance of cooperation amongst middle-income countries to overcome multiple crises faced by the world. 

Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu had identified that modern politics is economics and spoke highly of the closely integrated Sri Lanka workforce in Romania creating a win-win partnership for both countries. 

Both sides have agreed to consolidate relations further in the multi-faceted areas that have been identified. 

The Foreign Affairs Minister also met with the President of the Romanian Senate 

They held a discussion on the overall facets of bilateral relations focusing particularly on strengthening interactions between the parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries.
