A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Colombo made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport after a female passenger's health suddenly deteriorated mid-flight on Thursday (11), reported Pakistan Media.
According to the reports, the captain of the passenger plane requested immediate permission for the emergency landing from Karachi Air Traffic Controller (ATC).
During the flight, the Sri Lankan woman, identified as 57-year-old Palawini, tragically passed away.
Upon landing, the doctors of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) examined the female air passenger and determined that she died due to cardiac arrest.
The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority sources indicated that the federal health officer deployed at the Karachi airport issued the death certificate for the passenger.
Following the emergency landing, the flight departed Karachi Airport for Colombo with the deceased passenger's body.
