Diana Gamage Granted Bail After Court Appearance

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court ordered the release of former state minister Diana Gamage on bail, after she appeared before the Colombo Chief Magistrate this afternoon.

Diana Gamage appeared before the court regarding the incident of obtaining a passport by presenting false information.

Yesterday, the court ordered to name former state minister Diana Gamage as a suspect in the related charge.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage made the order considering the facts presented by the Criminal Investigation Department before the court regarding her, yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General had instructed the Criminal Investigation Department to take action under the Criminal Procedure Code regarding Diana Gamage.
