Two foreign women taken into custody with cocaine hidden in their bodies

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two foreign women arriving in Sri Lanka were taken into custody at the BIA in Katunayake after authorities discovered cocaine hidden within their bodies.

A search revealed 40 capsules of cocaine concealed within the bodies of the two detained women.

Sri Lanka Customs officials reported that the seized drugs weighed nearly 500 grams and had an estimated street value exceeding 20 million rupees.

The arrested women are citizens of Guinea.
