Final rites of the late Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne to be carried out on Saturday (20) with State Honours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The funeral of the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement founder Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne will be held on Saturday (20) with State honours at 4.00 p.m. at Independence Square.

His remains will lie at the Sarvodaya Headquarters till 12 noon on Saturday (20) before being taken to Independence Square.

Ariyaratne passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness at a private hospital.

Many religious leaders, political leaders, and intellectuals paid their final respects to the Late Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne, at the Sarvodaya Headquarters in Moratuwa.
