Sri Lanka attends Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable

COLOMBO (News1st); Sri Lanka's State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe participated in the Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable along with Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe.

Posting on X the State Minister said this collective initiative led by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank and G20 would assist countries to resolve debt issues faster, which was a common request from creditor and debtor countries across the globe.

State Minister Semasinghe also met with IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva at this meeting.
