Heat Advisory Issued by Sri Lanka's Met Dept

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology in Sri Lanka has issued a heat advisory urging caution for residents in several regions due to the elevated levels of heat currently being felt by the human body.

Areas Affected:

North Western Province
Western Province
Southern Province
Sabaragamuwa Province
Anuradhapura District
Mannar District

Locals are advised to drink plenty of water throughout the day and remain hydrated, especially those engaged in outdoor activities.

Individuals working outdoors should prioritize working from shaded areas and minimize direct exposure to sunlight whenever possible.

Elderly individuals and those with pre-existing medical conditions are urged to exercise extra caution during this time and limit strenuous activities.
